We have 2 systems in place that have been tried and tested that supply you with HD quality, full programme guide and a 14 day catch up TV service. Dishes

1.2, 1.3, 1.5 metre dishes fitted - we advise you what's best for your situation. Although a 1.2 metre dish may be used in Spain, Sky change frequencies of channels from time to time and you may experience loss or breaking up of those channels, especially in bad weather. The satellite signal on the southern coast of Spain is weak compared to the UK.

Dish Re-Alignment

The wind on the Costa del Sol can be unrelenting at times and no matter how much you tighten up the screws and bolts on a dish over a period of time and with the persistence and pressure on either side of the dish, wind can cause it to move out of alignment. The higher the dish is located 'on top of a villa or apartment block', or whether it is protected by the walls of a building can also be a factor. How well the dish is aligned, if the LNB is polarised to the dish is critical, which brand LNB has been used, what make of dish, does the dish have clear line of sight, etc. Over the years we have tested every dish, every LNB, every Sky or Freesat box that the market has to offer and we know exactly what works well and what does not.

We carry the latest spectrum analysers so we can see the decibel levels and our years of experience with installing all satellite systems means that our problem solving expertise is unrivalled. If your dish has moved, badly positioned or inadequate in size and quality, LNB is faulty, cable is corroded or joined incorrectly or any problem that is preventing your television viewing, contact us as we will be able to establish the fault and have you up and running again in no time.

Digital Satellite Receivers

We supply all the major brands and have the latest new Digiboxes including Sky +, Sky + HD, Freesat HD and the latest Freesat HDR - 320GB + 500GB boxes.

These boxes record onto either an 80GB for sky plus, 500GB/1TB/2TB for sky plus HD or 320/500GB for the freesat HDR receivers. The hard drive is capable of recording 40 hours for sky plus, 80 to 900 hours for sky HD and 200 to 250 hours for the freesat HDR receivers.

NB: Remember if you buy a television from a local Spanish shop, their delivery service only includes dropping the TV to your front door, without them installing and showing you how to use your new toy. Also bear in mind that it will probably not arrive at the time or even day that you specify!

Free Spanish TV - TDT

TDT (Televisión Digital Terrestre / Digital Terrestrial Television) is a Spanish digital terrestrial system where you can receive free Spanish tv channels. All the TDT channels are broadcast in Spanish; however you can change the audio of the programmes to your desired language, subject to the programmes being broadcast in the language of your choice. So if there is a film or a series originally televised in English, then you will be able to watch this programme in English.

There are about 70 channels being broadcast at the moment here on the Costa del Sol, Spain. Please remember you will not able to receive any UK channels such as BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 using the TDT service here in Spain. This is a Spanish digital television service and it's a great way to pick up some of the language too!
